VICTIM QUICK RESPONSE PROGRAM+ (VQRP+)

The VQRP+ provides short-term financial support to help individuals affected by violent crime recover from the impact of an incident. This support can cover urgent needs and essential expenses, such as counselling, emergency home repairs, transportation to safe accommodations, and basic necessities. Eligibility depends on the type of crime, and strict timelines apply. Contact Victim Services HPELA to see if you qualify. The VQRP+ is a Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services program, delivered locally by Victim Services HPELA.

MOBILE TRACKING SYSTEMS

The MTS Program, funded through grants and donations, helps individuals at high risk of gender-based violence enhance their safety by providing a GPS panic device that can immediately alert police when access to 911 may not be possible. Delivered in partnership with EYEZ-ON, the program supports rapid emergency response during situatoins of elevated risk.

BAIL NOTIFICATION

Individuals affected by crime in Quinte West are quickly notified of any changes to an offender’s custody or bail status through the Bail Notification Program. This helps Victim Services HPELA provide support, guidance, and resources so individuals can make informed decisions about their safety.

Emergency & Victim Support

If you or someone else is in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, call 911 right away. Emergency responders will assess the situation and provide the necessary immediate assistance.

Victim Services HPELA works alongside police, fire services, and other first responders to support individuals affected by crime or sudden tragedy once emergency services are on scene or when a referral is made. Our team provides compassionate crisis support, practical assistance, safety planning, and connections to community resources.
